Description: Lecture: History and Future Restoration of Manatee River Oyster Habitat
Presented by Damon Moore, Manatee County

​This presentation will overview the interesting history of oysters in the Manatee River (once called the Oyster River) and the human relationship to this valuable natural resource. Damon will overview historical accounts describing times of great oyster abundance to massive decline and provide some information on restoration successes and exciting future plans for large scale oyster habitat restoration in the Manatee River.

Admission is FREE but you MUST have an Eventbrite ticket for entry.*
