Description: Foster Historic Site brings the holiday season on the Florida Frontier to life! Visitors follow a lantern-lit trail through the military fort and Seminole camp. Along the way, guests will encounter musicians, living history scenarios, hot food, and refreshments. A battle reenactment will occur at 3 pm and 8 pm. Come witness the drama as the Seminoles attempt to burn the bridge crossing the Hillsborough River, while soldiers and militiamen will try to defend it. This living history program will truly take you back in time.
This event is a living history reenactment featuring military, Seminole, and civilian reenactors, sutlers, traders, and craft demonstrations.
Hours are 12 pm - 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm
The Fort Foster State Historic Site is located adjacent to Hillsborough River State Park on U.S. 301 North, 9 miles north of Fowler Avenue and 6 miles south of Zephyrhills.
All proceeds benefit the Hillsborough River State Park Preservation Society.
