Gamble Plantation Field School Public Days

Description: See Archaeology In Action at Gamble Plantation!
The University of South Florida is hosting an archaeology field school at Gamble Plantation Historic State Park from May 15th through June 23rd.

Come join us on our free Saturday public day! Participate in excavations, see the artifacts, and learn about local history. Plenty of activities for children and adults!

Excavations are open for public observation every day, beginning from approximately 9:00 am until 2:30 pm Monday-Friday (ending at noon on Fridays).

Archaeology Works: Little Salt Spring

Time: 1:00 pm til 3:00 pm

Location: Morgan Family Center, 6207 W Price Blvd, North Port FL 34291

Description: Come on out to the Morgan Family Center to learn all about Little Salt Spring and the past peoples who lived there. Explore Little Salt Spring with hands-on activities and demonstrations so you can investigate the past like an archaeologist! This free workshop is appropriate for all ages and backgrounds.
