Archaeology Field Notes: Centuries of Culture in Pre-Tarpon Springs

For hundreds of years, early people thrived along the banks of the Anclote River and the lands around the bayous that are now known as Tarpon Springs. With the subsistence of great natural resources, these early people created and exchanged exquisite pottery and beautiful exotic items of value. Archaeologist Phyllis Kolianos discusses the fascinating history of these discoveries and recent research to uncover more of the ancient past.

Heritage Museum 11:30 am to 1 pm (Talk begins at 12 noon) $15, $12 MEMBERS & STUDENTS. LIMITED SEATING. Ticket includes talk, gourmet box lunch and soft drink. Please call the Box Office in advance if you have special dietary needs.
