FORT FOSTER RENDEZVOUS

Location: Fort Foster State Historic Site 301 Park Ridge Ave. Temple Terrace, FL 33592
Description: The Hillsborough River State Park will present this annual historical event at the Fort Foster State Historic Site. This event is a living history reenactment featuring military, Seminole, and civilian reenactors, sutlers, traders, and craft demonstrations. Registration forms are available online or by calling (813) 987-6870. An opportunity to purchase period merchandise & refreshments is available to our park visitors. Please note: This weekend event will offer ongoing daily live firing demonstrations and a skirmish between the Seminoles and military after 1:00 pm both days.
Fees: Public admission for this special event is a $5 donation to Hillsborough River State Park Preservation Society per person, ages 5 and under is free.

Description: Admission: FREE
Parking: $2.00 donation to Sarasota Military Academy, SMA (includes complementary raffle ticket).
Our annual heritage fest with civil war skirmishes, cowboy shootouts, real working cowboys, crafts, kids area, antique car show, farmers market, reenactors, blacksmithing, cracker cows and horses, pony rides, live music and at the same time there will be a Church Social held at the Old Miakka Methodist Church with good old-fashioned preaching, a wedding ceremony under the arbor, guided tours of the cemetery, gospel music, and much, much more…
