The City of Tarpon Springs’ Cultural and Civic Services Department in cooperation with the Tarpon Springs Area Historical Society present a lecture series: Celebrating Community: Tarpon Springs A Continuum of 125 Years. The lectures are presented by Florida experts in history, archaeology, maritime tradition, culture and arts during the City’s 125th Anniversary celebration that will culminate in the publication of a historical guidebook of Tarpon Springs, with chapters written by the author/lecturers. The lectures and chapters in the book highlight significant themes of Tarpon Springs’ unique history since 1887.
