Civil War Re-enactment and Train Rides

Time: 10:00 am til 2:00 pm

Location: Florida Railroad Museum, 12210 83rd St East Parrish, FL 34219

Description: Visit living history with the 74th Ohio Volunteers!

Come early to visit the authentic camp ground before boarding your train. The camp grounds open at 10am, and admission to the camp is free. Learn about the camp and the soldiers who occupied them during this period of our country's history. After your tour through history, join us onboard the train for a battle between the Confederates and Union soldiers. Train ride is $18 for adults and $13 for children under 12.

Old Time Music Jam

Time: 2:00 pm til 4:00 pm

Location: Manatee Village Historical Park, 1404 Manatee Ave. East, Bradenton

Description: Step back into history by attending Old Time Music Jams hosted by Manatee Village Historical Park. The Village Historical Park is a collection of restored buildings from Manatee County’s settlement history. The buildings range from 1860–1920 and represent life before modern conveniences such as electricity and automobiles. Bring a picnic lunch, your fiddle, guitar, banjo or any other instrument and join the improvisational fun!
