Heritage Monitoring Scouts (HMS Florida) is a public engagement program focused on tracking changes to archaeological sites at risk, particularly those impacted by climate change in the form of erosion and sea level rise. The public is encouraged to apply to the program and will receive monthly updates on training and resources available for HMS Florida participants statewide.

To participate in the program, Scouts use the HMS Florida Arches Database. The Arches Database is an interactive, map-based website where Scouts can view cultural resources across Florida and log Scout Reports for monitoring visits. Click the “Apply to Be a Scout!” link below to create a login for the database or click on “Arches Monitoring Portal” to preview the website and see all the information the HMS Florida Arches Database has to offer! For more information on this program send us an email at hmsflorida@fpan.us or click on the links below.
