History Bike Tampa: Preserving Tampa\'s Historic Cemeteries

Description: With the recent events surrounding Tampa\'s historic cemeteries the need to preserve their history is more important than ever. Join History Bike Tampa, along with historian Fred Hearns and the Florida Public Archeology Network, as we visit these important locations.rnrnOur tour will conclude at Memorial Park Cemetery, established in 1919 as Tampa’s second African-American burial ground, where Florida Public Archeology Network will provide a crash-course in cemetery maintenance followed by an opportunity to assist in the help of keeping the history alive. rnrnThe ride will be at Kahwa Coffee (bottom of the Element Building) located in downtown Tampa, and registration starts at 9:30AM. We will depart *promptly* at 10am. The tour is provided free of charge, however there\'s a suggested donation of $5.rnrnThe ride will last approximately 2 hours and will be traveling in light to moderate riding conditions. Please RSVP if you are planning on attending, and come ready to ride safe (helmet!!).rnrnFIRST COME, FIRST SERVErnThe ride will only be able to accommodate the first 80 registered riders. First come, first serve so show up early to sign in. No line holding, sorry!
