Halloween: The All-American Holiday?

Time: 2:00 pm til 3:30 pm

Location: Sulphur Springs Museum and Heritage Center, 1101 East River Cove St, Tampa, FL

Description: Halloween, which has origins in ancient Celtic tradition, has morphed into a uniquely American holiday that blends death, fear, and harvest with costumes, candy, and parties. Dr. Elizabeth Bird of the University of South Florida, explores the history of Halloween, its many changes, and its relationship with other festivals of the dead.

There will be refreshments and free admission.
