Location: Robinson Preserve, 1704 99th St NW, Bradenton
Description: Join Florida Public Archaeology Network (FPAN) staff and Manatee County Parks and Natural Resources staff for a Heritage Monitoring Scout meet up at the Robinson Preserve! We will visit several sites within the Preserve and check them for damage from various threats. Please be sure to dress for a hike and kayak ride (closed-toe shoes, hat, long pants, and water bottle).

Description: Pottery was a vital part of life in Florida for the past 3,000 years, but it is also an important clue for archaeologists today. Learn to identify different prehistoric pottery types from around Florida and the ways archaeologists use them to learn about people in the past.
