Description: Join the Florida Public Archaeology Network staff to learn about cemetery care and preservation where you live. Explore cemeteries as historical resources: conserving headstones and markers, managing cemetery landscapes, transcribing and more. Even practice hands-on headstone cleaning.

Description: Five Centuries of Florida history is a unique opportunity to experience 500 years of Florida history in one weekend. Converse with Civil War soldiers, talk with Rough Riders, learn about the plight of WWI trenches and the experiences of WWII GI's. Five Centuries of Florida history brings together over 30 re-enactors from all over Florida as they portray their particular periods of time from the time of Spanish conquest to the present day. All time periods set up camps and displays with talks and demonstrations throughout the weekend.

Description: Come learn about local history and archaeology at Gamble Plantation! We will have: an exhibit of artifacts recovered from archaeology at the site, an Artifact ID Booth, where we will have experts in Florida archaeology available to identify materials you have found, demonstrations on archaeological techniques, activities for children and more! Kid friendly and open to the public.
