Home School History: Historic Ybor City Walking Tour

Time: 10:00 am til 3:00 pm

Location: Tampa Bay History Center, 801 Old Water Street, Tampa, FL

Description: Join us for a guided walking tour of Tampa’s historic Ybor City, once a booming cigar manufacturing town with a rich cultural heritage. We’ll start with activities at the History Center, and then hop aboard the TECO Streetcar to take in the sights and sounds of Ybor. We’ll learn what life was like for families in Tampa 100 years ago, and experience some hands-on activities along the way.

The streetcar departs the History Center three times throughout the day. Choose only one of the following:

10:50 a.m. Returns to the History Center by 2 p.m.

11:40 a.m. Returns to the History Center by 2:40 p.m.

12:20 p.m. Returns to the History Center by 3:20 p.m.

History Center Members – $10
Non-members – $12
Cost includes streetcar fare. Free for children under 3.

Activities run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., but families are welcome to stay and explore the galleries until 5 p.m.
