Description: Program: John M. Belohlavek, PhD. “Overview: Causes of the Civil War.”
John M. Belohlavek is professor of 19th and 20th century U.S. political & diplomatic history at the University of South Florida, Tampa. He received his M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Nebraska. His most recent book is entitled: Broken Glass: Caleb Cushing and the Shattering of the Union. He has also co-edited and contributed to a series of essays on the Civil War Confederacy entitled Divided We Fall.
