"Tampa Underground" Historic Cemetery Tour

Time: 4:00 pm til 5:00 pm

Location: Rodeph Sholom Cemetery. 3612 Ola Ave. in Seminole Heights

Description: Many of Tampa’s pioneer Jewish families are buried at Rodeph Sholom (1881) and its neighboring graveyard Schaari Zedek. Learn the fascinating - sometimes humorous, sometimes harrowing - stories of Jewish immigration and inventiveness in early Tampa.

All Tours are led by an actor-historian in period dress. Photography is encouraged. Sorry, but audio- or videotaping is not permitted. Tours are suitable for adults and children from age 8. Please wear sensible walking shoes (no flip flops or open sandals, due to uneven terrain and fire ants) and dress for the weather.
