Lab Time at the Ybor City Museum State Park

Time: 9:30 am til 11:30 am

Location: Ybor City Museum State Park, 1818 E Ninth Avenue Tampa, Florida 33605

Description: Fridays from 9:30 to 11:30 the public is invited to come out and participate in archaeological lab work in the Ybor City Museum Garden. Help archaeologists wash artifacts uncovered during their dig at the State Park and then learn how to sort historic artifacts based on their type or material. Get up close with pieces of Ybor City's past and learn a little more about what it was like to live here during the turn of the century. No experience is required, everyone from children to adults are welcome to attend and take part.

Drinks with Henry at the H.B. Plant Museum

Time: 6:00 pm til 8:00 pm

Location: Henry B. Plant Museum - 401 W. Kennedy Boulevard - Tampa, FL 33606

Description: Our doors will stay open until 8 pm for this happy hour event. Lisa Casalino will belt out jazz standards as you enjoy a Minaret Martini (or wine and beer) and light refreshments. Ella's American Folf Art Cafe is providing tantalizing hors d'oeuves and Casa Nova is underwriting desserts. Experience the atmosphere of the Tampa Bay Hotel in its heyday, as the entire Museum is lit with authentic replica Edison bulbs. Have your photograph taken in one of the Hotel’s guest rooms. Members free. Non-members $10 or arrive before 6:30 pm and pay only $5. What a great way to start the weekend and introduce friends to the Museum.
