Guided Hike at Weedon Island Preserve

Time: 9:00 am til 11:00 am

Location: Weedon Island Preserve, 1800 Weedon Drive NE, St. Petersburg

Description: Join us to learn about the coastal environment and the early residents of Weedon Island Preserve. We will be hiking through coastal mangrove and upland ecosystems of the Preserve so be sure to bring water and a snack. A hat and closed-toe shoes are also recommended.

Explore DeSoto's Waterways with a Ranger Led Kayak Tour

Time: 9:30 am til 11:30 am

Location: DeSoto National Memorial Park, 8300 De Soto Memorial Hwy, Bradenton

Description: Experience De Soto National Memorial in a unique way, from the water. Explore the parks waterways and learn how water was the lifeways for Florida Indians, Spanish explorers, and Florida's settlers and pioneers. Discover ways how we can protect Florida's most precious resource. All equipment and kayaks are provided. each tour only accommodates ten people. All children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. RSVP only by calling 941-792-0458.

Kids Ahoy! Saturdays on the American Victory Ship

Time: 10:00 am til 5:00 pm

Location: 705 Channelside Drive, Tampa, FL 33602

Description: It's Kids Ahoy! Saturday aboard the AmVic Ship! Youths 12 and under are just $2.50--that's half off the regular admission price. Come aboard and receive a scavenger hunt flyer. Walk the planks just like sailors and soldiers did to find all the items. Once you're done, make your way to the Publix Super Markets Charities Fun Room in the rear of the ship to participate in an arts & crafts project and enjoy a fun snack! It's fun for the whole family!
