Description: The Archaeology Society of Southern Florida is hosting an upcoming lecture by Dr. Meryl Shriver-Rice, an Assistant Professor for Miami Dade College. As an archaeologist, Dr. Shriver-Rice has experience in Cultural Resource Management as a “rescue archaeologist" excavating at urban sites where development threatens archaeological remains. She has dug on Brickell Ave. and at the current Met Square sites in Miami, as well as in California, Missouri, and Illinois. Head to the Deering Estate Auditorium in Miami to attend this informative and intriguing presentation on Thursday, September 11, at 7:00 p.m.
