Florida's own Highwaymen Artists

Time: 10:00 am til 4:00 pm

Location: Jaco Pastorius Park ommunity Center, 4000 North Dixie Highway

Description: The Florida Highwaymen are an association of twenty-six African American artists from Florida. Throughout the 1950s and 1960s they painted approximately 200,000 paintings and then sold them out of their cars. They were re-discovered in the mid-1990s and are renowned for their landscapes of rural Florida.
