Timucuan Technology: Pyrotechnology

Time: 1:00 pm til 2:00 pm

Location: Wickham Park - Melbourne

Description: FPAN will be visiting Wickham Park in Melbourne to speak to a group of homeschool students about Pyrotechnology. How did the Native American Timucua use fire to enhance their everyday life? The Timucua relied on fire for warmth and for cooking, but did you know they also used smoke and ash for a variety of purposes? Students will learn all about fire technology through a talk and through demonstrations.
