Description: Interested in getting a hands-on learning experience about South Florida’s past?
Join the Archaeological Society of South Florida (ASSF), The Keys History and Discovery Center, and Florida Public Archaeology Network - Southeast (FPAN) to learn about how archaeologists identify, clean, and study artifacts from real sites in South Florida! Be sure to wear close-toed shoes and avoid dangling jewelry! Gloves will be provided.This event is FREE and open to the public.

The Florida Public Archaeology Network (FPAN) and the University of West Florida are closely monitoring the current outbreak of COVID-19, the latest Coronavirus. To do our part in preventing the spread of COVID-19, FPAN will not be scheduling any new events that include public gatherings, and our public events through March 30th will be postponed. Although the immediate risk to the American public is still low at this time, we encourage everyone to take steps to safeguard their personal health and to minimize disease transmission to their communities
