Time: 9:30 am til 11:30 am
Location: Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse Outstanding Natural Area, 600 State Road 707 Unit B, Jupiter, Fl
Description: Come learn about the archaeology of the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse Outstanding Natural Area from an aquatic perspective with Florida Public Archaeology Network - Southeast Region!
This FREE guided paddle launching from the lighthouse shore encompasses archaeological, environmental, and historical knowledge of the ONA.
The paddle will be at a casual pace with multiple stops on the way. We will be on the water for around 2 hours so bring sunscreen and water!
Bring your own Kayak or paddle board.
Meet in the South parking lot of the ONA (located on the right just before going over the bridge to Jupiter Island) at 9:30 am and one of the ONA staff will let you through the Gate and you can drive in and unload kayaks on the shore.
NOTE: THIS IS NOT THE LIGHTHOUSE MUSEUM PARKING LOT, it is just a little further east on S. Beach Rd.
We will be meeting at 9:30 am in the parking lot and beginning the paddle at 9:45 am, giving us time to unload.
