A Critical Ethnology of Wartime America at Home and Abroad

Description: Philosophy of Culture researcher Henry Calway will present a critical examination of America’s Post WWII military involvements around the globe. This talk explores mythological and cultural systems underlying American rule of the world, and proposes new cultural and mythical symbols to celebrate and support peace and prosperity. Calway studies philosophy and anthropology at F.A.U. and his talk is rooted in cultural anthropological theory and philosophy of culture. He is a project-based archaeological field technician and a long time member of PBCAS and the Florida Anthropological Society.
