It's Not a Costume - Modern Seminole Patchwork

Time: 9:00 am til 5:00 pm

Location: Ah-Tah-Thi-Ki Museum in Clewiston

Description: The making and wearing of the Seminole patchwork clothing is still regularly and proudly worn by Tribal members. Like most fashion, the cut, shape and silhouette of patchwork clothing has shifted to meet the needs and trends of Tribal members. However, a quick study shows each piece still harkens to its history. Wearing patchwork is a statement of fashion, of pride, and an acknowledgement of history.

The exhibit is co-curated by Rebecca Fell and Jessica Osceola
