Florida Public Archaeology Network information booth

Time: 10:00 am til 2:00 pm

Location: Riverbend Park, Loxahatchee FL

Description: Florida's diverse history and prehistory stretches back over 12,000 years. Join us at Riverbend Park as Florida Public Archeology Network (FPAN) encourages Floridians and visitors to learn more about the archaeology and history of the state, and to preserve these important parts of Florida's rich cultural heritage. Educational discussions - Ask an archeologist, hands-on activity for families.
Fun and interesting for all ages!

Please come prepared: Drinking water, sun protection and insect repellant are recommended.
Program runtime: on going from 10am -2pm
• Program Participation Form must be signed for each individual; parent or guardian for those under 18.
• All children must be accompanied by an adult.
• There are no flush toilets or potable water at the park.
• Joining the guest list on Facebook will not be accepted as a reservation for a program.

Calusa Days

Time: 10:00 am til 2:00 pm

Location: Everglades National Park (Gulf Coast Visitor Center)

Description: Dig up the past and discover a lost civilization. Everglades National Park is celebrating the Calusa Indians and Archeology Month with Atlatl Throwing, an Archeology Dig, making Calusa Masks, Boat Tours to Calusa shell mounds, and more!
