ASSF Lecture: The Archaeology of the Greek Islands

Description: Join Professor Ferrante in this interesting journey into the past. He will explore the archaeological locations that the Greeks colonized on the coast and on some of the islands of the Mediterranean, which are a treasure trove of Megalithic, Doric, Ionic, and Corinthian archaeological excavation sites. This time Prof. Ferrante will present an itinerary through the past of the ancient Greeks as well as, the present architecture of the Greek Islands of the Mediterranean Basin. This informative presentation will highlight the diverse islands of Aegina, Hydra, Mykonos, Delos, Santorini, Crete and Rhodes.
