Exploring Escribano Kayak Tour

Time: 9:00 am til 11:00 am

Location: Escribano Point Bayou Campground Kayak Launch

Description: Join FPAN to discover ecology and history on one of Florida's most beautiful bays!

This tour will last between two and three hours; participants will be traveling at a leisurely pace approximately 2 miles along Escribano Point in a loop on Blackwater Bay.

Tour participants will meet at 9:00am for a safety briefing and an introduction before we set out on the water. Although we recommend kayaks for this tour, any non-motorized watercraft is welcome (canoes, stand-up paddle boards, etc.). All participants are required to bring their own watercraft. Additional recommended gear should include sun protection, water, and snacks (if desired). Participants will be asked to fill out a liability waiver on site in order to participate in the tour.

This event is open to the public, but RSVPs are required. Space is limited to 15 participants, so please e-mail ngrinnan@uwf.edu to reserve your spot. This tour is offered for free, but cash donations at the end of the tour are much appreciated and help us continue to offer other amazing learning opportunities!

This tour is recommended for ages 13+; participants under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
