Tidally United Summit 2019: Tour at Fort Pickens
Time: 8:30 am til 12:00 pm
Location: Fort Pickens Auditorium, 1400 Fort Pickens Road, Pensacola Beach, FL
Description: The final event for the Tidally United Summit 2019, this ferry and walking tour will be led by National Park Service staff and will address climate change and resiliency at the Gulf Islands National Seashore's Fort Pickens area!
Morning meeting time is 8:30am at the Pensacola Bay Cruises downtown dock. Tickets will need to be purchased by each participant the morning of the tour, or they can be purchased ahead of time on the Pensacola Bay Cruises website (please select "Scheduled Cruise" if purchasing online and bring printed ticket to the dock on August 17). Following the tour, participants can self-tour Fort Pickens, ride the ferry to Pensacola Beach for lunch, or continue on the ferry back to downtown Pensacola. Participants also have the option of driving to Fort Pickens (1400 Fort Pickens Road, Pensacola Beach, FL 32561; Park entrance fees apply) to meet the group at the Discovery Center by 9:30am.
