Location: Oakland Nature Preserve
Description: Join us at Oakland Nature Preserve on Saturday April 18th at 10am for Archaeology Works: Pottery, a hands-on workshop. Learn about 4000 years of prehistoric ceramics in Florida. Discover how archaeologists can learn about the past from pottery sherds and try your hand at creating your own vessel! Afterwards, explore the archaeological artifacts that were found at the Preserve in and are kept in the museum.
This program is FREE and open to the public; but preregistration is required to assure there are enough materails for everyone. Please email information@oaklandnaturepreserve.org or call 407-905-0054 to register.

Join us to learn about St. Lucie County’s thriving environment, healthy community-based organizations and what we are all doing to help create a sustainable world. This free event has something for everyone, no matter your age. Come out and join our parade, take in some local music, meet Florida’s native wildlife, and get a chance to participate fun hands-on activities with our interactive exhibitors.
