Fieldon Institute Course: Ground Penetrating Radar and Archaeology

Location: Dixon Heandry Campus, Indian River State College, Okeechobee

Description: Over the past several decades new technology has been increasingly used by archaeologists to visualize archaeological features beneath the surface without invasive testing. Ground Penetrating Radar is one of the most popular of these geophysical survey methods. This presentation is geared for adult audiences and discusses GPR operation, gives case studies of its use, and discusses the wider realm of technology within archaeology with a focus on future applications.
