Description:
Florida and its inhabitants have changed drastically throughout the course of time. This presentation from the Florida Public Archaeology Network explores the formation of Florida, its prehistoric megafauna, Native Americans, and touches on the archaeological remains of the Sunshine State.

Presenter Kevin Gidusko is the Public Archaeology Coordinator for the Florida Public Archaeology Network, East Central Region. He received a BA in Anthropology from the University of Central Florida in 2011. He is currently a graduate student at UCF specializing in Florida Archaeology and Ground Penetrating Radar applications in archaeology. His areas of interest are prehistoric Florida, social complexity, and geophysical applications in archaeology.

This presentation will be geared towards adults, but older children may enjoy the presentation as well.
